Purpose of the role:
Responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining robust Company hosting solutions and services to ensure high availability, performance, and security of IT systems. This role expands to include the execution of technology carveouts, ensuring seamless separation of IT systems and infrastructure with minimal disruption to business operations as a result from mergers and acquisitions (M&A). The Hosting Engineer will collaborate with various IT teams and stakeholders to support the overall IT strategy and business objectives.
Accountabilities:
- Design and develop hosting solutions to meet business needs. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Create architectural blueprints and documentation. Develop and document strategies for the separation of hosting environments. Ensure seamless integration with existing IT infrastructure. Optimize system performance and ensure high availability.
- Work with Global team for design and planning the separation process, ensure new hosting solutions operates independently with minimal disruption and maintain user experience.
- Develop comprehensive and effective Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Scopes of Work (SoWs) for vendors, third-party service providers, and System Integrators (SIs).
- Lead the implementation of hosting solutions based on agreed design. Execute hosting separation activities, coordinating with vendors and third-party service providers. Ensure minimal impact on business operations.
- Implement security protocols to protect data and systems during the separation. Manage the migration of data, applications, and systems to new hosting environments. Ensure data integrity and security during the migration process.
- Develop and test disaster recovery plans specific to the carveout process. Ensure that backup solutions are in place and functional during the separation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during and after the separation.
- Prepare and present reports on hosting performance, incidents, and separation-related issues for management.
- Provide technical support and assistance to other IT staff on new hosting configurations and procedures resulting from separations.
- Collaborate effectively during carveout to ensure alignment and effective communication.
Technical Specialization:
- Experience with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and network protocols.
- Familiar with virtualization and data storage technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV, NetApp), O365 administration, domain controller (Active Directory, DHCP, DNS), SMTP, certificate authority, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Proven experience as a hosting architect, hosting engineer, system administrator, or similar role.
- Preferably experience in M&A scenarios, technology carveout, and system separation.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, data migration tools and techniques, and hosting technology solutions and services.
- Knowledge of security best practices, data protection measures, and compliance standards.
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
