Build and maintain a robust local and regional vendor network to meet current and future customer needs. Coordinate and negotiate with vendors on pricing, quality, and quantity, while developing procurement plans and sourcing strategies.
Oversee vendor performance, manage orders, track production through to delivery, and ensure contract compliance with suppliers.
Identify areas for improvement and new sourcing opportunities, establishing procedures to deliver cost savings and accelerate processes.
Introduce innovative ideas to streamline workflows and enhance product development processes.
Implement efficient systems to document and manage product engineering changes.
Design and enforce office policies by establishing standards, procedures, and KPIs, while making necessary adjustments based on performance results.
Resolve escalated office administrative issues and perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
Extensive experience in woven garment production for the US apparel market.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
At least 10 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role.
Strong understanding of products and materials, with well-developed skills in merchandising and product development processes.
Proven ability to build strong client relationships, develop business opportunities, and lead teams effectively.
Strong problem-solving abilities, with a capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English.
